Middlesbrough Rugby Union Football Club (MRUFC) has been at the heart of our town for over 150 years, creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to play rugby, build friendships and thrive.
From our Junior programmes and school outreach sessions to senior teams, women’s rugby and community events like Bonfire Night and Summer Camps, MRUFC is more than a club – it’s a hub for the whole community.
Recent years have seen huge investment: we purchased a second site at Tollesby Road, delivered a £140,000 upgrade through Government Community Ownership grants and appointed a Rugby
Development Officer to run free rugby sessions in schools. Our Junior section continues to produce talented players, while our senior squads are thriving – with the 1st XV promoted back to Level 5 and our Women’s team relaunched after 20 years.
