Hello good people of Middlesbrough Rugby Club.

Unfortunately, we have recently been informed that Martin Barber sadly passed away on Wednesday 7th January in James Cook Hospital.

Martin was a staunch supporter and Vice President of the club and served as club Treasurer for a number of years.

In addition to being a talented fly half, Martin was an outstanding cricketer, and will be greatly missed by his friends in both sports.

Our thoughts are with Sue, his family and friends at this sad time.

Martin Barber’s funeral will take place on Thursday 29th January at St Bede’s Chapel, Teesside Crematorium, Acklam Road, Middlesbrough, TS5 7HD at 3pm and afterwards at Middlesbrough Golf Club, Brass Castle Lane, TS8 9EE.

Family flowers only please. There will be a box at the crematorium and perhaps at the golf club for donations in lieu.
