Boro Miss Out in 17 Point ThrillerOur old rivals Northern FC came to Le Parc du Acklam today for a game played in torrid wet conditions.First half with Boro playing up the slope was all strong attack followed by equally tough defence. The deadlock was broken when Sean Joseph scored a try which was converted 7-0The second half started with Northern camped in our half not allowing the home side to clear their lines, eventually they crossed the whitewash 7-5Controversy reigned when Boro wing Aedan Moloney chased his own kick the opposing wing got to the ball first, surprising everyone by volleying it into touch, Aedan made slight contact with him and even though he was committed the referee decided to send him off. In my eyes possible yellow red was very harsh.Northern then threw everything at Boro and despite heroic defence they scored another unconverted try. 7-10Boro, try as they might kept attacking and got over the line on one occasion the ball being deemed to have not been groundedTop defensive effort from the lads unlucky to only receive a solitary bonus point.Next week we are away to Cockermouth with a late stop KO 2pm
