Another cracking game at Acklam Park saw away team Hullensians claim victory in a thriller.
One minute in and a try for the visitors that was converted to make it 0-7, not long after a yellow card for Boro full back Jamie Watson and the penalty converted made it 0-10.
That appeared to wake the home side up and they responded with a try from Brendan Hill converted by Matthew Todd 7-10.
An interception try from the Hull No 9 and the conversion brought the score to the new romantics band 7-17.
Back come the Boro a try from Euan Tremlett converted by Todd made it 14-17. then came another through Brendan Hill giving Boro their first lead of the day 19-17.
An exchange of penalties, one for us two for them, saw our visitors take the lead 22-23
Hullensians scored a converted try to extend their lead to 22-30.
Boro pressed and pressed eventually scoring through evergreen 40 year old Andy Micklewright making the score 27-30
More pressure from the home team but alas no further scoring gave the final score Middlesbrough 27 Hullensians 30
Oh and Conner Foley didn't make it to the final whistle, let's hope it's not too serious as he is the self proclaimed star of the show
